What Does This Insurance Cover?
Your specific coverage details are outlined in the policy schedule provided with your shipment confirmation.
Duration of Coverage
The insurance coverage begins when your goods are collected for transportation and ends once they are delivered to their designated final destination.
Coverage Overview and Limits
This policy protects your goods against physical loss or damage during transit, including loading and unloading activities. The maximum coverage limit is specified in the policy schedule.
The policy also covers damages caused by actions taken by Customs Authorities during inspections, as well as duty payable on lost or damaged items, except in cases where:
•The goods are entirely or partially lost before the duty becomes payable.
•General average or salvage charges arise before the duty becomes payable.
In cases where duty is recoverable, credit will be applied for any refunds or rebates. Additionally, we cover damages caused by fumigation, provided the fumigation was unforeseen, beyond your control, and not part of standard practices.
If only the packaging, such as labels or wrappers, is damaged, we will cover the cost of reconditioning or replacement.
